RESEARCH AND DEVELOPMENT: THE ENGINE OF SUCCESS
Since the very beginning of its activities, 3V has dedicated significant effort and investment in R&D, not only to improve existing products and processes, but also to primarily develop new innovations. Hundreds of published papers as well as EU and US patents are the proof of this dedication.
Over the years, 3V’s R&D Department has assured stable and strong growth for the Group, by consistently enabling the company to enter new markets with proprietary products and know-how.
Nowadays the R&D organization, with labs in both Europe and the US, counts more than 50 qualified professionals and technicians and has 3 major focus areas:
· Synthesis of new molecules
· Development of new processes, with particular attention to environmental compatibility. 3V owns several pilot plants that can be used to study the industrial synthesis of proprietary molecules or to improve the final application of the manufactured products
· Chemical and Physical characterization. Sophisticated techniques (for example, NMR and GPC) are used to provide 3V researchers with the most accurate characterization of products, allowing precise determination of structure-property relationships.

Over the years, 3V has also developed significant experience in Regulatory matters.
For example, filing dossiers with the FDA for approval of products intended for indirect contact with food, preparing a Drug Master File (DMF) and registering several products according to the legislative requirements of numerous countries for various applications – including sanitizers for swimming pools and plastics additives for food packaging.
Now, 3V is ready for the challenge that REACH is posing to the chemical companies operating in Europe. Hundreds of 3V products will be pre-registered and then followed through all the necessary steps to obtain full registration.
